Welcome Home

If you lived here, you would be home now.

Home would be this classic Victorian house located in Onley, Virginia on the Eastern Shore.

Imagine spending warm  days and evenings on the front porch, seated on the porch swing or in a rocking chair, sipping an iced tea and watching the world go by. This is Southern-style living at its finest and most traditional.

Built in 1906, this home has withstood both the test of time and Mother Nature. Despite its age, it retains its warmth, charm and style in a place where life is enjoyed at a slower pace.

25520 Maple St offers 3 bedrooms, modern kitchen, 1-1/2 baths, large living room, dining room, library/den, laundry room and utility room plus a spacious back yard. All of these features are described and viewed by clicking the tabs below the header — Come Inside, Go Upstairs, Floor Plans, Walk Outside, Renovations, Around Onley.

We have restored and updated many of the home's features since relocating  from New Jersey. The Eastern Shore reminded us what small-town living was like years ago — and still is around here — a friendlier, less congested, less hurried life style.

The home has been renovated, rejuvenated and repainted in coastal colors of cream and blue (a transformation from the original white and black). We added a back patio for outdoor dining and socializing as well as a garden patio that overlooks the orchard and wildflowers.

There's more — we built a barn for additional storage, enlarged an existing small workshop, and added a storage shed that houses a utility tractor (useful for vegetable gardening and patio construction). All outbuildings are wired.

Crepe myrtle trees and fruit trees were added to the property as well as front and rear flower gardens. Several fruit bearing trees provide peaches, apples and pears. Two strawberry patches overflow with fresh berries for summertime enjoyment. The yard has ample space for gardens and/or recreational use including room for a boat or RV — the choices are YOURS.

We are selling this lovely home, which we have renovated and enjoyed, to relocate closer to family.
